Operation Ape missions have arrived and with them the next stage in Dustland Runner’s evolution. Below is a breakdown of all you need to know about getting started on special quests and earning exclusive rewards.
Ape Missions for iOS are officially out now, starting with Donkey Kong Who?
And Android users, don’t worry, you only have a few days to wait. Operation Ape missions for the Android platform are coming fast on the heels of iOS, as decided by the community Discord poll. We’d never make you wait that long.
Like a broken record we know but we just want to reiterate two things before all the exciting update
- WE ARE STILL IN ALPHA, we are still Alpha. Yes!
- We are looking at creative ways to release different features to players based on what we think are important — access to content and game experience
The New FUN
- For all Dustcaps (even if you don’t have Ape Pass)
It’s a new start, it’s a new game! Go back to Mission 1 and 5 because you need to meet the requirements and pick up need crafting materials (trust us, you would want them) in order the progress through the game
- For Ape Pass holders
If you hold a valid Operation Ape Access Pass NFT you’ll see a green tick, which means you can play.
Here’s an Operation Ape mission tutorial for iOS users.
How to start
- First you’ll see a pop-up notice indicating your distance is being reset: why? Because the game now has in-game crafting which is a brand new experience for you which can be earned by running missions. You also need to meet the requirements for each mission to progress.
On the Operation Ape mission page, you’ll see an Ape Pass green light.
- This indicates that you have linked your account to an Ape Pass wallet on the Dustland Runner website
- If you have not linked a wallet this light will not show green.
Additionally connections are not done via your smartphone.
If you hold a valid Ape Pass but you do not see a green tick indicating you can play:
- Go to https://www.thedustland.com/
- Ensure your Metamask wallet is connected to your selected Dustland Runner account
- Check that your Ape Pass is in the wallet connected to your selected Dustland Runner account
You’re ready to start your first Ape Mission and get running with Buster. Go get your 20KM and hopefully pick up some reward.
Good luck!
