If you’ve been keeping a close eye on Buster’s antics, you’d know that Buster and his Bored Ape friends are pulling out an exclusive medal! You’ve seen the final product, but how did we get there in the first place? Let’s have a look!
Early sketches
Buster’s not known for his “artsy side” but you’d be surprised how good he can draw when he puts his mind to it. Especially with the added pressure from his fellow apes ๐คฃ. You can see that the initial sketch started out COMPLETELY different than the final design. Saying that Buster was exhausted from the process would be an understatement. But he enjoyed every minute of it ๐
Buster wanted to go above and beyond though, so having a static background with no working mechanisms just didn’t clear his creative itch, so here’s what he came up with
After going through some more refinements, here’s what we had so far
Now it came to Buster’s favorite part, the coloring! He always likes the initial stages of coloring when he can go wild with color experimentation. As you can see, the colors are COMPLETELY different compared to the final design
Early packaging designs
It doesn’t matter how good your medal is, if the packaging is bad, people wouldn’t give it a second look! That’s what Buster always says. That’s why he went to (almost) the same rigorous process of refining the box design. Take a look at how we started
Buster goes to NYC!
Fancy meeting Buster in real life? Well, the stars have finally aligned your way! We’ll be having a Bored Run running event during NFT NYC in 4th April.
