You’ve seen this before. A treadmill or an exercise bike that’s not been used inside someone’s house….or maybe you have one.
Why doesn’t it work? If you don’t have an exercise habit already, buying a new toy won’t change your behaviour. What you need is a new routine and it’s HARD when the environment is the same.
One of the best ways to develop a new habit is to change the environment. The cheapest way is to go OUTSIDE. By going outdoors, you are away from your bed, your sofa, your TV, your computer…..all the temptations have been removed!
So before you buy a treadmill or bike…..try building a fitness habit FIRST and then when you have one then supplement it something at home.
